Welcome to Serein Home Studio

Our Story—A home, a little closer to nature.

I created Serein Home from a love of natural materials and the quiet warmth they bring into everyday spaces.

I’m drawn to the grain of wood, the texture of woven rattan, the lightness of bamboo, and the softness of linen. I love that these materials are never completely uniform. Small differences in color, shape, and texture give each piece its own character.

For me, the most meaningful objects are not simply displayed. They are held, used, noticed, and slowly made part of daily life.

How I Choose Each Piece

I don’t choose something simply because it looks beautiful. I want it to feel good in the hand, to be useful in everyday life, and to sit naturally in a home.

I’m especially drawn to materials like wood, woven rattan, bamboo, and linen. They have a warmth and texture that manufactured materials often cannot replace. I also love that they are never completely uniform. The grain, color, and shape may vary slightly, and to me, that is part of their beauty.

When I consider a piece for the shop, I often imagine how it might be used — a wooden spoon kept beside the stove, a basket holding everyday things, or a linen cloth laid across the table. I look for objects that can quietly become part of someone’s daily routine, rather than pieces that are only there to be admired.

I don’t follow trends too closely. I prefer simple shapes, natural colors, and things that still feel at home after the seasons have changed.

In the end, I’m usually looking for the same thing: something natural, useful, and quietly beautiful.
