The wooden spoons, the tea brush, the one pair of scissors that lives in the kitchen: they end up in a drawer, or lying on the counter, or in a mug that was never meant for the job. This is a cup for exactly that pile.
Woven by hand from natural rattan, 3.9 inches tall and 2.4 inches across the mouth, on a square 7 × 7 cm base that keeps it from tipping when something long leans out of it.

Care
A dry cloth or a soft brush for dust. Wipe a mark with a barely damp cloth and dry it immediately. Do not soak it, and do not leave wet utensils standing inside, because uncoated rattan holds moisture and will eventually soften or darken. Keep it out of prolonged direct sun.
Questions
Will wet utensils damage it?
Over time, yes. The rattan is uncoated, so a dripping brush left standing in it will darken the base. Shake tools off first, or stand them handle-down.
Is it stable with tall spoons in it?
The square base is wider than the mouth, which is what stops it tipping. Very long or heavy tools all leaning the same way can still unbalance it.
Can I use it on a desk rather than in the kitchen?
Yes. At 3.9 inches tall it takes pens and scissors comfortably. Nothing about it is kitchen-specific.
Styling Tip
It works hardest where the counter is busiest, beside the kettle or on a tea tray with the tools you actually reach for. Pair it with a woven tray from Handwoven Rattan, or with a carved spoon from Olive Wood Kitchenware.
Woven by hand, so colour and weave vary slightly from cup to cup. No two are identical.
